The inaugural Mullumbimby Sculpture Festival 2018

Ingenuity transformed Palm Park from 14 -18 November, 2018 (same days as Mullum Music Festival).

22 Artists from this Region, showed 27 sculptures.
Works in marble, steel, stone, ceramics, copper, wire, masonry,  wood,and found materials, along paths and in palm groves, imaginatively transformed the riverside walk.

A special feature of the Festival was the fabulous ‘Castle of Dreams’ showing impressive works of young artists from our high schools, and a Community Workshop where visitors could make their own sculptures with the assistance of artists and volunteers.


$5,000 Acquisition Award was won by Jason Morning for his carved wood sculpture: GERMINATION
This work will now be permanently displayed in the Byron Shire as a public artwork.


$500 Christina Khumari Peoples’ Choice Award went to John Walters for Wish You Were Here
