This work explores power poles as symbols of humanity’s reliance on fossil fuel-generated energy- brutal and raw set amongst the palms- a utilitarian device symbolic of our collective need to cease the love affair with fossil fuels! I like to think it draws on common thoughts and values amongst the local community. It’s connection is physical, geographical and ideological to this place, and the inherent need to switch to renewables to reduce the severity of global warming.
