This work was originally shown at the Byron Writers Festival as two standing figures made from six, weathered, hard wood posts combined with circular pipes made of steel. Inside the shapes sit ceramic figures. For Ingenuity, I wouldn’t include the small ceramic figures, but I would convert the sculpture into a single figure with a seat attached. This would be called a “Yarning Seat” and is to encourage communication between individuals in our community. Tell a story, ask a question, take time to chat and listen.
